Matt leads WATT’s Engineering Solutions Group, developing the processes, automation, and engineering support needed to manufacture fuel cells and stacks consistently as production grows. His work connects technology development with practical improvements in manufacturing reliability and efficiency.
At WATT, Matt has led rail and stack design improvements and introduced new technologies into cell production. He and his team develop manufacturing solutions that support current products while preparing processes for the next generation of fuel cells and stacks. He is an inventor or co-inventor on several WATT patents.
Before joining WATT, Matt worked at the FirstEnergy Advanced Energy Research Center, focusing on reactor design and catalyst characterization.
Matt earned his degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron, where his research focused on system development and scale-up design for carbon dioxide capture.
