Watt Announces First Recreational Vehicle Test For Imperium Solid Oxide Fuel Cell System

Mount Pleasant, PA, November 30, 2017 — WATT Fuel Cell Corporation (“WATT” or “Company”) is pleased to announce they are working with the innovation team from Erwin Hymer Group North America (“EHGNA”) to test the ImperiumTM Hybrid Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (“SOFC”) power management system on board a recreational vehicle. The first ImperiumTM system was installed in an EHGNA E-Trek autonomous vehicle and is being showcased at the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (“RVIA”) National RV Trade Show in Louisville, KY from November 27-30, 2017.

Easily integrated on board RVs and boats, ImperiumTM creates power from readily-available and easily-accessible fuels and renewable energy sources. The ImperiumTM SOFC system installed on the EHGNA RV utilizes the hybrid power manager to optimize fuel cell and solar capabilities while maximizing energy storage. It creates power efficiently and quietly from propane and solar energy, providing clean power on demand, with no engine noise or harmful exhaust. ImperiumTM will allow RV enthusiasts to automatically create, access and manage power for all of their on-board appliances and devices.

EHGNA is a recreational vehicle industry leader and has been the first to bring many leading innovative products to the RV market. The EHGNA innovation team is always looking to stay current with the most advanced technologies and to stay on the cutting-edge of new technology.

“Working with companies like EHGNA will validate WATT’s SOFC technology and help us demonstrate the products that will set new standards for cost and performance in the fuel cell industry,” said Caine Finnerty, President & CEO of WATT Fuel Cell. “We are excited to be working with EHGNA, a leading innovator in their own right,” Finnerty continued. Joel Adams, Director of Engineering for EHGNA added “It’s important for us to research and test new technologies in our RVs to see all of the options we can make available in our models. This is why it makes sense for us to be the first in our industry to work with WATT’s state-of-the-art product.”

This test, and others like it, will accelerate WATT’s evolution from product development to commercialization of fuel cell systems – continuing the Company’s commercial momentum in remote and recreational, micro grid, and small distributed generation power markets. WATT welcomes any inquiries regarding how its technology can support partner solutions. Please contact the Company at info@wattfuelcell.com for more information.
